Below is a link to a survey, some of you took part in this survey at YAK last Thursday. Please, please, please take a minute and fill in this survey! (even if you already filled it out at the gaming league, there's more to it now) You, the teens, have the greatest say in how the teen department meets your needs and expectations, so your input is greatly valued! Thank you so much guys.
Here is the info you will need to answer the questions, sorry i forgot this yesterday. What is a “Teen Advisory Group” or "TAG"? All libraries Young Adult collections rely heavily on the input from teens. A Teen Advisory Board is a group of teens who play a big part in organizing events, ordering books, the teen web page, and even the layout of the teen section. What’s an “Anime Club”? The library would host a monthly anime club, directed by the teens. The library would be in charge of promotion, equipment and renting the meeting room. The anime watched would be voted on by the club. (There is some chance of sponsorship from Funimation.) What is a "Gaming League"? A gaming league would be a club where the teens would decide what gaming stations they played each week, what games and if they would have tournaments. The teens in charge of the gaming league would be responsible for any organization of torments but would have support for prizes from the YA department. -Bailey
