We challenge you to read 25 book, or 25 hours, or for 25 days (of at least 30 minutes a day).
You can start reading towards your goal starting June 11. Set your goal, then read or listen to any reading materials that interest you. Audio books, being read to, comic books and manga totally count! You can read something you checked out from the library or something you have at home. You must read within your reading level. So if you are a big brother who can read chapter books but you read a picture book to your 5 year old sister, that counts for your little sister but not for you. If your family is going on a road trip and you listen to a audio book in the car that counts for everyone!
For each five (day, books or hours) you will win a prize as well as also be entered to win a grand prize basket for your age group! We will pick winners throughout the summer. You can see what items will be up for grabs each week displayed at the library.
Read for a Good Cause: Finished your first five? Keep reading and help support the library! For each extra reading log you complete, $5 will be donated to the library cause, Thanks to the ACPL Foundation. You can support Stories at the Parks, All Ages Lego programs or help build up the outdoor and travel book collection. You will be able to choose which cause you would like to support and we will add your name to the wall of fame.
